Established in 1998 River Recording, built high on the bank of the Potomac River, was designed from the ground up to be a recording studio. With a 10 foot ceiling and acoustic curtains surrounding the large performance room, all options from large, open, ambient sounds to tight, controlled, isolated sounds can be obtained.

The control room houses a large 56 channel mixing console including several processing racks. Multiple equipment racks include a 24 track digital hard disk recording system, dynamic processors, EQs and tone shaping units, effects processors, and CD mastering machines. Two seperate critical playback systems are nearfield and overhead. All cabling is hardwired in channels under the elevated control room providing a clean, efficient, comfortable work environment. A remote guitar isolation booth is also available for complete isolation of guitar speaker cabinets. The spiral staircase from the performance room leads up to the second floor lounge with restroom, dining area, and furnished break room with TV and phone.

In the nearly 10 years of operation River Recording has already produced hundreds of sessions from demo's to complete mastered CD's.  From solo singer songwriters to full bands in every genre of music and including spoken word, River Recording is dedicated to quality production. With state of the art microphones, dynamics processors, mixing console, and digital hard disk recorders combined with years of experience in the record industry, River Recording can promise to take your music as seriously as you do.
